| 12 May 2016 | 09:30

This is the weekend! Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Parish is hosting its fourth family festival this weekend, Friday through Sunday.
It is three days of affordable family fun, designed to engage all generations

Kids rides
Rides for the kids this year include the super slide, scrambler, kiddies coaster, and funhouse. Back by popular demand are the Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, swings, tempest and bounce house. Pony Rides are also available on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Other activities
There will be games of chance for all, including bingo on Friday and Saturday nights, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the church annex. Bingo packets will be available for $18, two for $30, and have three cards for each of the 15 games.
And music will fill the air each evening from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Vera and the Force will entertain on Friday; Ortz Keltic takes to the tent on Saturday.
Food galore
Bring your appetite, too, because there will be affordable food choices for all, including hotdogs and hamburgers with fries, sausage and peppers, Caesar salad and chili, to name just a few. Beverages and desserts will also available.
Top dog
And on Sunday, stop by for the dog show. It starts at 2 p.m. All participants will receive a goody bag with fun gifts for your dog, provided by Grooming by Jonji Pet Salon and Supplies of Bloomingdale, sponsors of the event.
Awards will be given for the biggest dog and the smallest, best dressed, best kisser and for the dog that looks most like its owner.
There is no entrance fee to participate but donations for the West Milford Animal Shelter will be accepted.
