There will be a Regatta held at Pinecliff Lake on May 18-19.
This will be the 4th year the Hudson Valley Rowing League will be holding a regatta on Pinecliff.
High school crew teams will be traveling from Rockland, Westchester, Orange, Ulster and Dutchess counties in New York to prticipate.
The schools will be competing in coxed 4's and 8's.
They will be staging from the beach, with the races starting at the Stowaway end of the lake and race up lake and finish just past the beach.
There will be 4-7 boats competing in each heat.
The racing will start about 8 a.m. and will end by late morning or early afternoon.
Saturday will be Varsity races and Sunday will be Novice (1st year rowing) races.
There will be no parking at the beach those days.
All are welcome to come to the beach and view the races, or view them from any of the fire lanes along the lake.
Lake front members will have a front row seat, where they can enjoy morning coffee while watching the races.
Members who are boating those days are asked to stay close to shore so to not interfere with the racers.
