Warwick. Hiking is a good way to avoid 'Cabin Fever'

As the coronavirus outbreak in Warwick and nearby communities keeps people home and shuts them out of restaurants, their businesses and workplaces, there is still a way to avoid “Cabin Fever,” keep a social distance and enjoy nature in our nearby parks, trails and open spaces.

Many people are taking advantage of hiking along the Appalachian Trail, which has an entrance and parking area on Route 17A between Bellvale and Greenwood Lake.

One couple, perhaps new to this area, asked: “How far does this path go?”

The answer: “If you keep going this way, Georgia. If you go the other way, Maine.”
