    Meet-the-Author Virtually

West Milford Township Library welcomes New York Times bestselling author Ann Napolitano for a virtual Meet the Author event on Thursday, December 3 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Registration is required at www.wmtl.org/events and the first 30 registrants will receive a signed copy of Ms. Napolitano’s newest novel Dear Edward. The day before this special event, we will send you a link to participate.

Dear Edward tells the story of twelve-year-old Edward Adler, his beloved older brother, his parents, and other passengers who board a flight from Newark to Los Angeles. Halfway across the country, the plane crashes and Edward is the sole survivor. Edward’s story captures the attention of the nation, but he struggles to find his place in a world without his family. Following the crash, Edward moves to West Milford to live with his aunt and uncle where he faces some of life’s most profound questions: When you’ve lost everything, how do you find the strength to put one foot in front of the other? How do you learn to feel safe again? How do you find meaning in your life? Dear Edward is at once a coming-of-age story, a multi-dimensional portrait of an unforgettable cast of characters, and a breathtaking illustration of all the ways a broken heart learns to love again.

Napolitano, who lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two children, is the author of the novels A Good Hard Look and Within Arm’s Reach, and the Associate Editor of One Story Literary Magazine. Her background includes teaching fiction writing at Brooklyn College, New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies, and the Gotham Writer’s Workshop.
