The Kootz kick off West Milford summer concert series
The Friends of West Milford Township Library will welcome back the Kootz as the opening act for the Summer 2021 Monday Night Concert series on July 12 at 7 p.m.
No registration is required for this free event under the tent behind the old library at 1490 Union Valley Road.
For nearly two decades, The Kootz has performed for audiences all over New Jersey with a repertoire of classic rock, pop and blues tunes from the late 1950s through the 1970s. With a core group of 15 musicians, and up to 10 guest artists, the band is able to perform in as many as 280 shows annually.

The Secret Life of PowerPoint workshop
Most people know PowerPoint as a popular software for designing presentations. But we invite you to discover PowerPoint’s hidden tools for image creation, image editing, and animation during the West Milford Township Library’s workshop of The Secret Life of Powerpoint series.
Participants will watch a pre-recorded tutorial and practice the techniques on their own, then meet on Zoom with the instructor on July 24 from 2-3 p.m. for a review.
To get the most out of the workshop, it is recommended that participants have some basic experience with PowerPoint. This workshop is not intended to teach how to use PowerPoint to create presentations; rather, it is meant to introduce some fun, “off-label” PowerPoint tricks and tools. The instructor is Elyse Schear, adult/teen services librarian.

Gentle Yoga with Michelle
Let go of stress and find strength, balance and joy in virtual gentle yoga classes with Michelle Brook, a registered Yoga teacher certified by the American Yoga Academy.
Classes will take place in person at the West Milford Township Library scheduled for July 20 and Aug. 24 from 6:30-7:45 p.m. and can be attended by Zoom.

Stitches is back at the West Milford Library
Just learning how to knit? Need some help with a project you’re working on? Drop by for Stitches, an informal group for adults led by resident and volunteer Donna D’elia at the West Milford Township Library.
The group will meet on July 21, Aug. 11 and Aug. 25 from 1-3 p.m. Bring a knitting or crochet project that you’re working on for some tips and advice.
