Vilma M. Krauer

    Vilma M. (Rogmann) Krauer of Hewitt passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021. She was 82 years old.

    Her husband Charles (Chuck) A. Krauer passed away in 2003.

    Vilma grew up and lived in Little Ferry, N.J., all of her life until she moved to Hewitt, N.J., to be with her daughter Stephanie and son-in-law Dave Den Boer.

    Vilma is survived by her sister Rosalind (“Tiny”) E. (Rogmann) Farquhar and her brother Hugo (“Hugie”) G. Rogmann.

    She is also survived by her children: Christine (“Chrissi”) A. Brignola (Krauer) (husband Jerry); son Steven C. Krauer (wife Tanya), daughter Stephanie V. (Krauer) Den Boer (husband David “Dave”). She also is survived by her three granddaughters: Jayden N. McReynolds (Brignola), (husband KC), Britanni E. Krauer and Brianna M. Krauer; and her great-grandson Karson CJ Mc Reynolds and her great-granddaughter KaceyRae Christine McReynolds.

    Vilma had a wonderful and fulfilling life. From her very young age in Little Ferry, Vilma became very close friends with Blanche (Kubat) Bidnik. Vilma, Tiny and Blanche became gymnasts and instructors together in Little Ferry Sokol.

    The three Columbus Avenue girls judged many competitions in Little Ferry as well as in New York. American Sokol was always a big part of Vilma’s life.

    Vilma worked at All Rite Pen Co. as a secretary, where she met her best friend Alice (Reigert) Rigolosi, with whom she has been friends with through all these years.

    Vilma then went on to work as a secretary at the Bendix Corp. After many years at Bendix, Vilma got married and had children. After a few years at home, she went to work at the Little Ferry Public Library.

    She will be cremated through Richards Funeral Home in West Milford, N.J.

    There will be a memorial service for family and friends during the summer.
