Jeff Riley has joined Echo Lake Baptist Church as the new lead pastor. He began his ministry in the state of Washington in 2004 where he gained experience as both the elementary coordinator and associate pastor.
Most recently he served for over three years as an interim lead pastor of Powerhouse Christian Church in Wyckoff. Possessing Bachelor degrees in both Pastoral Ministries and Biblical Studies, Riley is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Religion.
In the fall of 2016, he started as interim lead pastor with Echo Lake Church. His full-time ministry began in the spring after a unanimous vote to bring him on board as lead pastor. When asked what he is most looking forward to at Echo Lake Church, he responded, “People have such incredible stories if you take the time to listen. I am excited to hear the stories of people at Echo Lake. I look forward to having the opportunity to make a positive impact in the next chapters of their lives and how their stories can have a positive impact on my life and my family.”
In describing the future of Echo Lake’s impact on West Milford and the surrounding communities, he “hopes that 100 years from now, you will not be able to talk about the history of West Milford without mentioning Echo Lake Church and the impact it had.”
This church said it has a history of reaching out to the community through local missions, supporting the teen ministry of Young Life and Teen Community Bible Study, participating in the annual Faith in Action Sunday and being a pillar of support to those in need from the community.
The church said Riley and his family are a welcome addition to Echo Lake’s family and the community. The church said it prides itself on being informal, authentic and caring.
Those new to the area or interested in attending church are invivted to visit the church.
Sunday services start at 10:30 a.m. The church is located at 1355 Macopin Road.
