C. John Schillaci

C. John Schillaci passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021. He was 94.

John was born in Garfield, N.J., on April 18, 1927, to Nicholas and Pauline (Madonna) Schillaci. John had been a resident of Oak Ridge, N.J., and Passaic, N.J.

John was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army being involved with the liberation of Germany. John was employed at Merck and Company in Rahway, N.J., for many years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Sgt. Francis M. Glynn American Legion Post #132 Franklin, N.J., the Italian-American Club of West Milford, N.J., and the Golden Age club of Milton, N.J., and the Knights of Columbus Council #12649 Stockholm, N.J.

John was predeceased by his wife, Rose (Rannazzisi) Schillaci, in 2019 and his brother, Emil Schillaci.

He was the devoted father of Paula Kuzicki and her husband, Ken, of Vernon, N.J., and Robert Schillaci and his wife, Mary, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; loving grandfather of Carrie, Kristen, Kenny, Heather, and Kelly; great-grandfather of Isabella, Kendra, James, Kamryn Rose; and Gianluca.
