David G. MacMillan

    David G. MacMillan passed away peacefully at home on Friday. Oct. 23, with his beloved wife of 64 years, Barbara Ann (Lange), by his side. He was 88 years old.

    David was born in North Bergen to Alexander and Louise MacMillan.

    He is survived by his brother Donald MacMillan and predeceased by his sister Eileen Edger.

    He graduated from Hackensack High School, attended Teterboro School of Aeronautics and then joined the Army in 1953, serving during the Korean Conflict.

    David worked for IBM as a Branch Manager for 35 years.

    David was the loving father to Patricia and Jay Goff, Linda MacMillan, David MacMillan and Edwin Salgado, and Lori and Thomas Kelley. He is survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

    In his retirement, David was a Trustee for The Aviation Hall of Fame in Teterboro, enjoyed Saturday night dinners out with Barbara, visits from family and friends, sitting on his porch, boat rides around the lake, Sunday car rides followed by Sunday dinners with his loved ones at home.

    He was able to enjoy his aviation passion by spending time at the “port” with his fellow airplane enthusiasts and treasured airplanes.

    Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 1, from 2 to 5p.m. at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford.

    No service is planned at this time.
