John H. O’Dell III

John H. O’Dell III of Ogdensburg, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, at his residence. He was 49.

Born in Pequannock, N.J., John lived in West Milford, N.J., before moving to Ogdensburg 25 years ago. He had worked for the Department of Public Works of Kinnelon Borough. N.J., for the past 30 years.

John enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle and attending concerts with his friends and family.

He is survived by his mother Sharon G. (Miller) O’Dell of Ogdensburg; brother Chad O’Dell of Ogdensburg; nephew Dean; and nieces Taylor and Cameron.

A memorial visitation will be held in conjunction with his father, John H. O’Dell Jr., who passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021. The visitation will be held on Sunday, March 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex, N.J. Services will immediately follow at 4 p.m. Due to New Jersey government health restrictions, attendees will be limited and are required to wear face masks at all times and practice proper social distancing.

Private cremation services have been entrusted to the Pinkel Funeral Home.
