Lea Lyth Mueller

On November 28, 2020, Lea Lyth Mueller of West Milford passed away in Ridgewood, N.J., on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020.

Lea was born on Nov. 10, 1930, to parents Ella and Auge Lyth Jorgensen.

She attended Snyder High School in Jersey City. Lea also attended Saint Peter’s College.

She met Walter Quinn, whom she married in 1954. Together they had three children: Daniel, Jean and James. Walter passed away.

In 1978 she married artist Wolfgang Mueller. Since his death in 2001, most of her time was spent with family and friends.

Lea was an avid reader, lover of classical music and old movies. She loved to travel and did so extensively with Wolfgang.

Lea worked for the U.S. Postal Service, serving in many positions. After 25 years, she retired from her position as Weight & Acceptance Clerk.

Lea will be missed by a wonderful group of lifelong friends and relatives. Words cannot express the appreciation of her family for the love and support they have given to Lea’s family after her passing.

In addition to her husband Wolfgang, Lea was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marie and brothers Fred and EiIif.

In addition to her children, Lea is survived by her brother Al and her sister Sigrid. She is further survived by her four beloved grandchildren: Richard, Kristen, Lauren and Ayanna; and great-grandchildren Noah and Joshua. She will also be missed by cousins, nephews and nieces and their spouses and children from her large and close-knit extended family.

There will be a small memorial service for the family, due to COVID 19 restrictions.

The family will conduct a celebration of life in the spring.
