Steven C. Drew of Hewitt, N.J., passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was 64 years old.

Steve was raised in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from the University of Chicago with a BS in Economics and Mathematics and received a Master’s in Technology, Finance and Accounting from Carnegie Mellon University.

He and his wife Heather (nee Noble) were married in 1986. They lived 26 years in Atlanta, Georgia, where they raised their three children, Miles, Devon and Logan.

They moved to Hewitt in 2012.

Steve was the president of Autosig Systems, a computer software company.

He will be especially remembered, however, as an involved dad and lifelong learner. He was especially devoted and dedicated to the Gwinnett County (GA) Swim League and the West Milford Board of Education and Economic Development Council.

He gave so much of his time, energy and knowledge to these passions, and the communities benefitted tremendously from his kindness, wit and leadership.

Steve was predeceased by his parents, Kathleen K. Drew of Portland, Oregon, and Edward C. Drew of Tacoma, Washington.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 35 years, Heather Drew of Hewitt, N.J., and his three beloved children and their spouses: Miles and Tori Drew of Austin, Texas, Devon and Dan Mahoney of San Diego, California, and Logan Drew and his fiancée Ivana Ramljak of Charlotte, North Carolina. He also has a beautiful granddaughter, Riley.

An informal, casual celebration of Steve’s life will be held at the Drew home in Hewitt on Saturday, April 24, from noon to 2 p.m.
