Montclair YMCA hosting planning meeting at WM library

The YMCA of Montclair, which serves the West Milford community, is asking members of the public to come out Thursday night to help plan programs for the next 3-5 years, the organization said in a press release.

The meeting is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Thursday night at the West Milford Library on Union Valley Road.

According to the organization, the public is invited to provide input and feedback for the strategic planning session that will shape the programs of the YMCA for the next several years.

The session will be led by the YMCA Board of Directors and President Buddy Evans.

The goal, according to the release, is to develop a plan that will guide the organization’s work in the West Milford community over the next 3-5 years.

The YMCA of Montclair has been serving the region since 1891, and currently has more than 12,000 members, according to the organization’s website.

The YMCA serves the communities of Bloomfield, Bloomingdale, Clifton, Cedar Grove, Glen Ridge, Haskell, Montclair, Verona and West Milford.

It also owns the 40-acre Camp at the Lake in West Milford.
