Pet of the Week: 'Snuffles' wants to breathe easier in a new home

West Milford. The West Milford Animal Shelter's three-year-old "Snuffles" (aka Sebby) is a heavy breather.

The shelter's staff had him checked, and he is fine, and they say that’s just how he is.

Somehow it adds to the weird, off-beat charm of this little character, according to the staff.

Snuffles doesn’t care to be picked up, but if he likes you he will hop up next to you when you are sitting.

He may even stand on you or touch your face with is paw and stick his nose right up to yours, the shelter's staff said.

According to the shelter, he gets along fine with other cats, and when he finds the right person he will truly be their closest companion.

The shelter is located on Lycosky Drive (behind recycling), 973-728-2859.
