Wallisch Homestead full of late summer events

West Milford. The Wallisch Homestead is planning several events to finish out the summer.

The Wallisch Homestead on Lincoln Avenue is full of activity as summer winds down with several special events.

Yoga classes, taught by Viola Westberry-Thomas from Kor Fitness, are ongoing as long the weather permits on Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m. and are $10 each.

A Soul Collage Workshop is scheduled at the West Milford Township Library on Friday, Aug. 23, and again on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A suggested donation of $15 includes access to the workshop, all materials and a 1-year membership to Friends of Wallisch Homestead.

The first annual Wallisch Homestead Music Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14.

Gates open at 11 a.m. and the music starts at noon.

Tickets are $10 each, while kids 16 and under, accompanied by a parent are free.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate, Vreeland Store and West Milford Florist.

Craft and food vendors will be present, and attendees should bring their own chairs.

The Friends of the West Milford Township Library will return for the huge Book Sale, beginning on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 2-6 p.m. for members only.

Sale to the public begins on Friday, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Girl Scouts and the Lions Club will be on hand that Saturday selling refreshments.
