Sofia Marotta
In field hockey, Sofia Marotta led the frontline against three tough teams this week.
She was the first person all season to score against Northern Highlands.
She also earned a hat trick and two assists against Wayne Hills.
Sofia is a true team player. She wants what is best for her teammates and won’t stop until they are all satisfied.
Lorenzo Galante
In boys soccer, Lorenzo Galante scored a hat trick in a 3-1 win game against Hawthorne Christian Academy in the first round of counties.
He had two goals on free kicks from 30- and 20-yards out. The third goal came from a pass from Ryan Gabel.
Lorenzo has thrived since moving from defense to midfield and forward this year.
Michael McCloskey
The Varsity Club would like to recognize Michael McCloskey who qualified for the National Special Olympics for Track and Field in Orlando, Fla.
Michael will compete with Team New Jersey.
