West Milford. COVID-19 cases continue to increase

As West Milford residents battled the raging snowstorm Monday, Feb. 1, adding to their concerns was the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) announcement that 15 new local confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported to the New Jersey Department of Health that day.

The total number of township confirmed cases moved up from 1,329 to 1,344.

The deaths of 34 persons from the township have been reported to the state from the OEM.

There were 11 females and four males in this latest listing. The youngest person to be confirmed with the disease in Monday’s report is a two-year-old female and the oldest for that day is a 77-year-old female.
