West Milford. Five injured in car crash

    At 10:09 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13, police responded to the intersection of Oak Ridge Road and Cozy Lake Road in the Township of West Milford in response to a crash involving three motor vehicles.

    According to the press release issued by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and West Milford Police Chief James DeVore, the crash involved a 2019 Ford Edge driven by a 29-year-old woman from Jackson, a 2019 Jeep Compass driven by a 49-year-old woman West Milford that also had two juvenile passengers, and a 2002 Toyota Highlander driven by a 57-year-old woman, also from West Milford.

    Following the crash, the driver of the Ford Edge was taken to Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, where she was treated for minor injuries.

    The occupants of the Jeep Compass were taken to Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, where they were treated for minor injuries.

    The driver of the Toyota Highlander was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, where she received treatment for serious injuries.

    The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
