West Milford. Town house plan in WM town center denied

Denial of a use application for construction of a townhouse apartment complex in the Village Commercial Zone in the West Milford business district by the Planning Board earlier this year was memorialized at a recent board meeting.

Rada investments originally wanted to build a 10 unit residential complex on their property at 1453 Union Valley Road across from West Milford Presbyterian Church.

When the board turned down that request the plan changed to an eight unit proposal.

Approval for this request was also voted down by the board.

The property was once the location for a gas station and years of environmental cleanup took place as a result of earlier problems.
