Police are asking residents not to call them regarding the paving work on the Greenwood Lake Turnpike.

“We are being inundated with phone calls about the paving project on Greenwood Lake Turnpike.

Please do not tie up our phone lines to complain about the traffic,” police said in a Nixle alert Thursday.

”Since this is a county road, complaints/inquiries can be phoned to the Passaic County Road Department at (973) 881-4500.

If you are looking for a way around the project download the app Waze on your smartphone to assist in avoiding the area.

This project is expected to last until Aug. 9.

There were two posts last week on our Facebook page alerting motorists of this project.”
