Junior Highlanders qualify for national competition

Over the three days of July 12-14, 16 Jr. Highlander Track Club athletes competed at the USATF Northeast Region Jr. Olympics at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania.
The Jr. Highlanders showed up to compete, with 11 athletes in 13 events qualifying to compete at the USATF Jr. Olympics in Sacramento, California from July 22-27.
Additonally, most athletes achieved personal best/records (pr) during the regional meet.
Athletes placing within the top five for their event within their age group qualified for national advancement.
In it's second year of existence, the program doubled the amount of athletes that qualified to compete at the national level.
