What's a Miche Bag? Nicol Lynch knows

West Milford — A girl can never have too many admirers, diamonds or purses. Diamonds are small, so they’re okay, but to recant, too many admirers may cause a problem and purses truly do take up too much room in your closet. Enter the Miche Bag. Relatively new to the East Coast, lots of women say “What is it?” The concept is simple but unique. First you buy your Base Bag, available in four sizes. The Base Bag is where you put all those things you can’t live without that you tote around all day in your purse. Next you choose a Shell from a wide variety of styles and colors. Just plop the Base into the Shell and you’re good to go. Say you’re wearing a red coat today and that brown purse from yesterday just doesn’t match. Simply lift out your Base Bag and drop it into another Shell of your choosing. No more time-consuming transferring of your valuables. The Miche Bag base is held secure within the Shell by earth magnets which will not affect your credit cards or electronic devices. One basic purse, lots of versatility and style options, lots more room in your closet. So where do you find a Miche Bag in West Milford? This is where we meet Nicol Lynch, a local Miche Bag representative. Lynch, a life-long West Milford resident, is a wife, a mother of two little girls, a nurse at Chilton Hospital’s cardiac unit and a Miche Bag distributor. With her own business now, “Styles Unlimited,” she is an advocate not only of the Miche Bag itself but also of the business end. She loves her nursing career but wanted to cut back on the hours. Working for Miche, she said, was a great compromise. “You can create your own schedule. Whether you do it for extra income or just to get out of the house, it opens you up to becoming your own person,” she said. With Miche for two years now, Lynch said the business model of Miche is changing this month, transitioning to a true party plan business after the Utah-based company determined that 80 percent of its business came from home parties. Founded in 2007, Miche must be doing something right since it was featured on the TV show “How I Made My Millions.” Lynch currently does business from the office complex on Cahill Cross Road. She will remain at that location for a few months as the transition takes place and, for now, it’s the place to go for the holiday shopping warehouse sale. “The products will be on display. It will be cash and carry but orders can also be placed,” said Lynch. Customers may also order on-line. Better known on the West Coast and in the mid-west, Miche Bags are making themselves known in this area, and for good reason, according to Lynch. “Miche is probably the most exciting product I’ve seen come along in fashion accessories,” she said. “We are just like 'Build-a-Bear' for handbags. Now you can change your bag without the hassles. They are inexpensive and women who decide to sell the bags have fun with it. Most women love the product. They sell themselves.” Miche offers a “starter bundle” which includes the Base Bag with two Shells, ranging in price from $47.95 to $109.95. Another great factor is you know what to give to the woman who has a Miche Bag on the next gift-giving occasion. “They come out with new Shells every month,” said Lynch. “You have this 'forever’ gift.” As for Lynch, once she became a Miche Bag consumer she packed up her old purses, sold them at a garage sale and never looked back. if you go Miche Bag Warehouse Sale Styles Unlimited 179 Cahill Cross Road, Suite 215 West Milford.
