What will history say?

Response Lou Liehaber’s support of “voting in person:”

Mr. Liehaber asks: “Why not take the ‘risk’ of voting in person?”

I appreciate N.J. Governor Murphy giving voters the choice to vote by mail. It is convenient, will save money by not having to staff all the polling places and history shows it increases voter turnout.

Mr. Liehaber is willing to risk voter and poll worker exposure to danger, harm or loss by voting in person. He can still vote in person if he chooses to.

With mail-in voting, it may take three to four days after the November 3rd election to know who the next Commander-in-Chief is. I am okay with that.

President Trump has chosen to downplay the “risk” of the COVID-19 pandemic since mid-March.

The President today has the blood of tens of thousands of Americans upon his hands. Historian Alan Lichtman predicts: “This will be remembered as the greatest dereliction of duty in presidential history.”
