Newton — The Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council gallery’s current art exhibit, “Bits & Pieces” will be on display from July 14 through Aug. 25. Work done in collage, mixed media, fragments, constructions or work showing bits and pieces of people, places and things will be interpreted by our artists. There is also a beautiful selection of hand-made jewelry by two artists. Gabriele reconstructs vintage glass beads into new wearable jewelry. Yanina Seani works in fine arts and jewelry. The featured artist of the month is Susan David, who creates jewel collages by rebirthing discarded jewels, pewter, copper and silver into pieces of art. At the council’s office across the street, photography works by Jennifer Waldron will also be on display. A wine and cheese opening reception will be held form 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, at the gallery, located at 9B Moran St. Call the council for more information at 973-383-0027.
