Jefferson — As part of their children’s program, the Jefferson Community Players invite teens and adults to perform at their talent show, to be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, at the Lodge at Camp Jefferson, 81 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong. The three activities planned for the children will be for them to make their own stuffed teddy bear; have a “Teddy Bear Tea” served in china cups with accompanying baked items; and conclude with the “A Bear-ican Idol,” a talented teddy bear show. In keeping with the bear theme, singers and dancers are invited to perform individually or as a group. The Players will have a karaoke that has a number of songs to choose from, to accompany the singer or dancer. Performers are encouraged to wear a costume and/or items of a costume that can suggest a bear, such as furry ears, fur mittens or face paint. Call Jean Simonson, director, at 973-663-3340 or e-mail actorscafe@netscape.com with questions or to sign up as soon as possible.
