Newton — Supporters will gather on Oct. 26 at Black Bear Golf Club, in Franklin, to support Ginnie’s House, the Sussex County Children’s Advocacy Center. A dinner auction will take place with the theme “On the Right Track” for the children of Sussex County. To commemorate Ginnie’s House’s 10 Anniversary, the largest array ever of items will be offered for the live auction, silent auction, and tricky tray event. Items included in this years list of auction items include: a Orange County Choppers complete tour package; a Prada handbag worth $1100 from Neiman Marcus; Decorating for a Day package provided by Whitehall Interiors; Long Beach Island beach retreat; Flowers for a Year sponsored by local Florists; gold and diamond jewelry worth more than $500; dinner packages; spa packages; sports tickets; and numerous gifts and gift certificates offered by a generous group of donors throughout Sussex County. Bidding of silent auction items begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by a dinner and the live auction. Auctioneer for the live auction will be Vince Brown. Notable corporate sponsors this year are Selective Insurance, Lakeland Bank, Grinnell Grinnell Pavers, Ronetco Supermarkets; and Sussex Bank. Ginnie’s House’s Mission advocates for a refuge providing comfort, healing and hope to children who are victims of abuse and where society’s need for justice can be served. Co-Chairs Peggy Cofrancesco and Carol Mann have planned this event to ensure that continued help is there for the children. Confrancesco said, “In all we do, we act on the belief that a child victimized by criminal abuse has special physical and emotional needs during this most traumatic period. These needs, along with the need to advocate for justice, must be met to close the wounds of abuse and to restore health, wellness and a sense of security of the child. The work of Ginnie’s House reminds us why we work so hard to provide a fun and worthwhile time for our guests these past ten years.” For more information, donations, or to purchase tickets, call Ginnie’s House at 973-579-0770.
