Sparta Sussex County’s Northwest New Jersey Peace Fellowship will host a special viewing of the film “When I Came Home” on Friday, Dec. 9, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Sparta United Methodist Church. The film is about homeless veterans in America - from those who served in Vietnam to those returning from the current war in Iraq. Through the story of Herold Noel, an Iraq War veteran suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and living out of his car in Brooklyn, the film reveals a failing system and the veteran’s struggle to survive after returning from the war. Guest speaker, Frank Schultz, an active member of Iraq Veterans Against War will speak about the plight of the returning Iraq War Veterans. The church is located at 71 Sparta Avenue in Sparta.
