JC’s Grillhouse, owned by chef Joe Cotton, seems to be the new home for jazz in Newton. Formerly the Spring House, the restaurant has been fully renovated and an American grill style menu is served for both lunch and dinner. JC’s also has a liquor license and bar area, with bar seating and table seating. Cotton was formerly the executive chef at Redwoods in Chester. A Grand Opening show will be held from 9 to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, featuring Nick Rolfe.
