Stanhope The UPS Store in Stanhope will play host to the The UPS Store/Toys for Tots #44 Camry, that NASCAR legend Dale Jarrett raced on Oct. 28 in Atlanta. Stanhope is one of seven stops on a national tour to promote the Toys for Tots “Sixty Days of Giving” campaign in celebration of the organization’s 60 anniversary. UPS Stores across the country are gathering new toys and selling $1 donation cards with all proceeds benefiting local Toys for Tots efforts. “We are honored to host the U.S. Marines and this specially designed NASCAR,” states Don Pollard, owner of The UPS Store. “Each donation we receive makes a difference in a child’s life, so we hope this event will draw attention to the campaign and encourage fans to help deserving kids this holiday season.” Toys for Tots is a program sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, that annually collect new, unwrapped toys and distributes the gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The car will be on display from 11 am to 4 p.m. on Dec. 9. at the Byram Plaza UPS store. Participants can get their photo taken with a Marine and the #44 NASCAR Camry. Toys and monetary donations are greatly appreciated, but not required to attend. For further details, contact owner Don Pollard 973-448-7640 or email store5497@theupsstore.com.
