Hopatcong Did you know that heroin purity in New Jersey is the highest in the nation? Did you know that young people are abusing cough medicine to get high? Did you know that prescription drug abuse is on the rise among teens? Are you concerned? Join other concerned parents and community members for Project Alert: Helping Our Kids Survive Their Most At-Risk Years. Attendees will hear from a youth in recovery, a substance abuse counselor, a law enforcement officer, and a prevention specialist to find out what really happens in Sussex County. Presented by the Sussex County Coalition for Healthy and Safe Families, a program of the Center for Prevention and Counseling, and sponsored by the Hopatcong Schools. This eye-opening presentation will take place at Hopatcong High School on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 7 to 9 p.m. Are all Sussex County kids using drugs? No. But they are all at-risk. Be part of the solution. For more information, call Jackie at 973-770-8968.
