Morristown To culminate the celebration of Morris Land Conservancy’s 25th Anniversary year, Sussex County native folk-rock musician Patrick Fitzsimmons will perform a benefit concert for the Conservancy at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 8, at the Morris Museum’s Bickford Theater in Morristown. Fitzsimmons will be accompanied by cellist Loni Bach, Violinist Claudia Chopek, and percussionist Ned Stroh. All proceeds from the concert will go to support the Conservancy’s land preservation efforts. “We are truly grateful for Patrick’s generous support and willingness to perform on our behalf, this will be the first benefit concert in Morris Land Conservancy’s 25 year history!” says Holly Szoke, Conservancy communications director. Ticket holders are invited to a pre-concert reception to be held at 7 p.m. in the theater’s lobby. Coffee and refreshments will be served, compliments of Starbucks in Rockaway and Anthony and Sons Bakery in Denville. “Having grown up in New Jersey, I appreciate the importance of the work that the Conservancy is doing to preserve the natural beauty of the state,” says Fitzsimmons. “I am pleased to be able to play a part in helping them raise funds to accomplish their work.” Morris Land Conservancy is a member-supported, non-profit land trust, dedicated to preserving open space land and protecting water resources in northern New Jersey.
