Warwick On Sept. 8 and 9 the Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery will host their Harvest Moon Wine and Folk festival. The festival is an annual event at the winery marking the start of apple season and autumn harvest. It features a blend of national recording folk artists as well as many local musicians. The music runs from noon to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. This year’s lineup features Slaid Cleaves, Patrick Fitzsimmons and The Jason Spooner Trio on Saturday. Patty Larkin, Pat Wictor, and Marc Von Em will perform Sunday. “This years lineup is fantastic,” said co-sponsor WFUV Program Director John Platt. The winery has worked with WFUV for the past four years and various radio personalities have appeared to host the days festivities. Wine tastings, hard cider, and fruit brandies as well as food, and soft drinks will be available all weekend at the winery. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets, but no coolers. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. A complimentary pint glass is given away with reservations on the winery’s Web site.
