The West Milford Community Services & Recreation Department partners with AARP to provide free tax help to senior citizens.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides in-person and online tax assistance to anyone for free, with a focus on taxpayers who are older than 50 and have low to moderate income.

Tax-Aide volunteers are trained and IRS-certified every year to make sure they know about and understand the latest changes and additions to the tax code.

Volunteers from AARP will be at the West Milford Recreation Center, 66 Cahill Cross Road, starting Feb. 9 to help prepare tax returns. Appointments are required.

Appointments may be scheduled at 9 and 10:30 a.m., noon, and 1:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays after Feb. 9.

Call Flo at Senior Services at (973) 728-2871 after Feb. 1 to register.
