Two women found dead after house fire

BLOOMINGDALE. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Bloomingdale Police Chief Joseph Borell, and Bloomingdale Fire Chief Eric Tuason announced that on the morning of August 30, firefighters responded to a house fire on Hamburg Turnpike in Bloomingdale. Two women were found dead inside the home.

In a social media post, the Bloomingdale Police Department wrote, “We would like to send our heartfelt condolences to the families involved in the fire today and send a sincere thank you to Bloomingdale FD and all the involved FD’s for their hard work today. At this time no further information is available to be released as this is still an active investigation.”

Fire companies from West Milford, Kinnelon, Paterson, and Riverdale all reportedly responded.
