WEST MILFORD Every spring an all-night fundraiser for the American Cancer Society is held at the high school. But it takes months of planning, so the 2008 committee is already on the case. Everyone is invited to the Relay for Life kick-off party on Thurs., Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Hillcrest Community Center. There, you can learn how to make a difference in the fight against cancer. You will also learn how to get a team together. Send your team captain in to learn about this year’s theme of “Chute For A Cure.” Find out what’s happening at this year’s Relay for Life in the Highlands. Relay For Life, a community-wide celebration of hope, is a fun-filled, overnight fundraiser celebrating cancer survivorship and raising money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. Teams of people walk laps and participate in activities and games building community spirit and honoring loved ones. The Relay For Life of the Highlands is scheduled for May 31 to June 1 at the West Milford High School.
