Oct. 27 MVA/CDS Macopin Road Christoph Rodriguez, Hewitt, Age 24 Rodriguez was traveling south on Macopin Road when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a mailbox and retaining wall. P.O. Frank Elia and P.O. Suzanne Novakowski were dispatched to the incident location on the report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival the vehicle was partially in the southbound lane of travel with heavy front-end damage. The driver was outside the vehicle. While speaking with the driver an odor of alcoholic beverage was noticed. Rodriguez was found to be in possession of cocaine. He was issued summons for possession of CDS, Driving under the influence and failure to keep right. P.O. Frank Elia Oct. 28 DWI Paradise Road Steven Ward, West Milford, Age 49 While on patrol P.O. James McDaniel observed a vehicle approaching from the opposite direction, the vehicle turned off its headlights and pulled to the side of the roadway. Officer pulled alongside the vehicle to ascertain if the driver needed assistance. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer observed the driver to be slurring his words. Driver was arrested for DWI, processed and released. P.O. James McDaniel Oct. 29 DWI Papscoe Road/Linwood Road Steven Hendricks Lubec, ME, Age 53 While on patrol, P.O. Charles McQuaid observed a red pickup truck fail to stop at the stop sign at the above-mentioned intersection. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle was found to be DWI. Driver was arrested for DWI, processed and released. P.O. Charles McQuaid Oct. 29 DWI Clinton Road Brendon Barclay, Warwick, NY, Age 25 P.O. McQuaid, O’Donnell, Elia and McDaniel responded to the above location on a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival P.O. McDaniel found the vehicle (1998 Dodge pickup) with heavy front-end damage. Two males were standing next to the vehicle and appeared to be highly intoxicated.
