Nov. 19 - Possession of marijuana Adam Hurtado, West Milford, Age 20 While running stationary radar on Warwick Turnpike P.O. Gary Yarnall observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Officer performed a motor vehicle stop south of Lakeshore Drive. The odor of burnt marijuana was detected by Officer Yarnall. Driver was found to be in possession of CDS and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with speeding, failure to inspect vehicle and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle. P.O. Gary Yarnall Nov. 16 - DWI/MVA - Route 23 N. Joseph P. Brown, Astoria, NY, Age 36 Driver does not recall the accident. Officer observed that the vehicle left the roadway, spun 180 degrees and struck a tree. Due to damage it appears the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed. Driver issued summons for DWI. Driver was transported to Chilton Hospital. P.O. David VanDalinda Nov. 11 - DWI/MVA - Route 23N Jack M. LaPlaca, Highland Lakes, Age 38 Investigation indicates the vehicle ran off the right side jumping the curb and striking a tree. The right rear view mirror was found at the location. The vehicle drove back on the road and driver/vehicle was apprehended about a mile and a half up the road. No injuries.
