To the Editor:
Board of Education elections affect our students and almost 60 percent of local taxes.
To strengthen our board, please support the candidacies of Gary Dan and Dave Ofshinsky and reject that of Greg Bailey.
Gary Dan’s young, school age children inspire his passion to be on the board.
As a computer engineer, he’ll provide expert knowledge in supporting technology initiatives that include education and forward thinking infrastructure strategies.
Dave Ofshinsky’s accounting background demonstrates his ability to provide responsible budgeting oversight focused on improving education.
He's secured grants for the Wallisch Estates and was/is treasurer of most volunteer organizations he’s participated in.
His son graduated West Milford, so Dave promotes district accomplishments while providing insight regarding improvements.
Greg Bailey exemplifies absent leadership by being late to and leaving early from meetings before discussing legal and bullying matters, not attending superintendent interviews or goal setting meetings, criticizing the safety committee for incompetence only to be reminded that he was committee chairperson and never held meetings, and declaring he always approves tax increases.
After 20 plus years as a trustee, he’s lost his passion.
I support Gary Dan and Dave Ofshinsky for the Board of Education.
