Barbara E. Zuk, a lifelong resident of the area up until her retirement, peacefully passed with her children by her side on Monday, June 21, 2021, in Kissimmee, Florida. She had just celebrated her 88th birthday.

Born June 6, 1933, to Fred and Jessie Watch she was the last remaining of their children.

Barbara worked with B.O.C.E.S up until her retirement in the early 1990’s. She loved being around children and quickly moved to Georgia to be close to her own children and grandchildren. Her last years have been spent at a retirement community in Florida where everyone knew her and her family.

She is survived by her four children and eight grandchildren living in New York, Florida, the District of Columbia, Georgia, Minnesota, North Carolina and Oklahoma.

She was avid supporter of various sports that her brothers and children played through out the years. The opponents got to know her just was well as the home team due to her dedication and enthusiasm.

Years ago she decided to donate her body to medical research with hopes of making a difference for some lucky future soul. Her remains will one day be close to her mother, father, and brothers Herbie and Jim.
