Warwick, NY Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery will host its tenth Bob Dylan tribute festival May 26, 27 and 28. The Dylan Festival is a continuation of the winery’s on going music series “uncorked and unplugged in the orchard.” The event will be held from 12 p.m. n 6 p.m. on the winery’s outdoor stage. Performers will be playing a variety of Dylan songs, paying homage to his timeless music. Attendees will see some local musicians as well as some national recording artists all playing at one of the Hudson Valleys prettiest music venues. Lucy Kaplansky will be performing on Saturday, May 26. Joining her on Saturday will be fellow musicians Amy Correia, Jason Spooner, Peter Spink, Mike Baglione, and Peter James. This lineup opens the Dylan weekend with a traditional folk sound, playing many rare Dylan songs and some known standards. Sunday will include Dylan festival veterans The Kennedys. Pete and Mora Kennedy have loyal followings in both the guitar pop camp and in the singer/songwriter set. Their ability to perform in a variety of styles ranging from roots rock to soulful acoustic pop has lead to their popularity across the United States. Their high energy style and chemistry makes a Kennedy performance a truly singular experience. “Last year’s set was so good that we had to have them back,” said event organizer and co-owner Jeremy Kidde. “We also asked Sloan Wainwright back, to give Sunday that festival feel.” Also performing on Sunday is Mary Lees Corvette playing their version of Dylan’s classic album “Blood on The Tracks”. Monday’s lineup consists of a repeat performance by the Kennedys along with folk rock and Dylan master Rod MacDonald. Also playing on Monday is McMule, John Sheehan and David Frye and New Morning. Wine tastings, Hard cider, and fruit brandies as well as food and soft drinks will be available all weekend at the winery. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, and blankets but no coolers.
