‘A Few Good Men' at local theater

    Budd Lake — “A Few Good Men” opens at the Pax Amicus Castle Theatre in Budd Lake on Friday, Feb. 16 at 8:00 p.m. Buy one, get one free on opening night. “A Few Good Men” also plays Saturdays, Feb. 17, 24 and March 3. All shows are at 8 p.m.; seats are $22. Written by Aaron Sorkin, who also writes for “The West Wing,” this is a riveting, disturbing and ultimately thrilling drama. “Who Can’t Handle the Truth?” Marine barracks at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba: A young marine lies dead suffocated by two fellow marines. Their smart-ass defense lawyer: Incompetent? Indifferent? Or just anxious to plead it out to avoid a trial? An accident? Or was the marine murdered by “code red,” in which men conditioned “to obey” keep fellow Marines in line ... whatever the consequences.
