Acoustic Eels to play on St. Patrick's Day

    Jefferson - The Jefferson Arts Committee will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Acoustic Eels at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, in the Starlight Coffee House at Camp Jefferson The coffee house is located in the Community Lodge, located at Camp Jefferson, 81 Weldon Rd, Lake Hopatcong. Performing an eclectic mix of music, the Acoustic Eels are a little bit country, a little (extra) English-Irish for St. Patrick’s Day, a little bit classic rock ‘n roll, and a little bit folk, with humor in harmony, and more. The group features singer/songwriter Steve LaSala; the “singing attorney,” Jim LaSala; Frank Hannan and Jim Stagnitto. Arts Committee members will serve flavored coffees (including Irish Crème) and teas along with a variety of baked goods. The atmosphere will be casual, with a roaring fireplace, and candlelight filling the room. A limited number of tickets will be sold for the event; no tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are $10 per person and can be reserved by calling 973-697-3828 or by mailing a check, payable to the Jefferson Arts Committee, and a stamped, self-addressed envelope to 49 Legion Rd., Oak Ridge, NJ. All proceeds will benefit future cultural activities in Jefferson, scholarship awards, and 2006 Jefferson Day activities.
