Lafayette - Art at the Mill will show works by Agatha Wyman, complimenting our existing collection of fine modern artwork. Currently on display are sculptures, plates, bowls, vessels and jewelry that include both stoneware and raku fired pieces. Rather than traditional pottery, Agatha’s clay works represent a new direction in this art form. Working from her studio in Highland Lakes, she experiments with ceramic chemistry developing unique clays, glazes and firing techniques. Her clay works have been exhibited in both group and solo shows, resulting in awards for her stoneware sculptures. She was graduated with honors from Pratt Institute with a BFA in ceramics. She also attended The School of Visual Arts and The Art Students League where she studied figure drawing and anatomy with Robert Beverly Hale. Art at the Mill ( www.millantiques.com/art.htm ) focuses on modern trends in arts and is currently open Thursday through Sunday. It is located in the Lafayette Mill Antique Center in Lafayette. The gallery is just off Route 15 at Morris Farm Road. For more information, call 973-383-0065 Ext. 25.
