Stanhope Artist Ramona Dooley of Stanhope has received a Special Recognition Merit Award for her artwork, “Waterloo Village by Moonlight” in the 8th Annual Summer All Media International Online Juried Art Exhibiton hosted by Upstream People Gallery at www.upstreampeoplegallery.com. This international exhibition received approximately 600 entries from around the world and 85 artists were selected by the juror Larry Bradshaw, Professor of Art at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Professor Bradshaw says this about Dooley’s specially recognized work: “Waterloo Village by Moonlight” by Ramona Dooley shows a vastness in her 18” x 24” oil painting. Also striking is the warm glow of the moon onto the cool atmosphere of the village. The movement of the horse and cart and the two men in the boat together with the stationary homes add even more to the character to this winter scene.” The exhibition will be on display online at upstreampeoplegallery.com for 12 months, through July 31.
