VERNON-Sullafa Kadura, a senior majoring in biology and Spanish at The College of Arts and Sciences, Syracuse University, received an Award Certificate for Academic Achievement from the biology department at the college's annual awards convocation, held on May 14. The certificates are presented annually by the biology department's Undergraduate Awards Committee, and are based on faculty recommendations and an evaluation of a student's academic and research credentials and abilities. The College of Arts and Sciences is a liberal arts college at the heart of a national research university. It is both the founding college and the largest college of Syracuse University, offering more than 40 majors from 22 academic departments in the traditional disciplines of the humanities, sciences and the social sciences.
