Art exhibit features unusual pieces

    Lafayette - Art at the Mill, the new art gallery at the Lafayette Mill Antique Center, is presenting an exhibit featuring small, medium and large post-modern abstractions, representational paintings, drawings, and sculpture photography, as well as new media constructions. The exhibit, titled, “It’s All Here in Black and White,” will run through March 26. The exhibit aims to attract designers, collectors and other art enthusiasts, especially those seeking the unusual. Pieces include “Toaster Head Man,” made out of appliances, and “New York at Night,” composed of old dominos on wood. Artists will be in attendance for “Art Speak” at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22. The exhibit is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and by appointment. The gallery’s new Backroom Gallery opened Jan. 9 and features constantly changing exhibits in all media. Art at the Mill is located just off Rte. 15 at Morris Farm Rd.
