SUSSEX The Tri-State Actors Theater will hold auditions for its Student Intern Training Program, which this year will culminate in the production of the musical, “Stuart Little.” First started in 1988, Tri-State’s summer program offers area students the opportunity to learn theater through hands-on experience. This season’s auditions will be held from 1 until 5 p.m. on Saturday June 9, 16 and 31. Open to students between the ages of 13 and 17, auditions will be held at the theater, 74 Main St., Sussex. Appointments are not necessary. Auditioners will be asked to read from the script and sing a short song, with all audition materials provided. Stage experience is helpful, but not a requirement for the audition. The student intern program runs from July 9 through August 11. Intern classes include voice, movement and characterization study. “Stuart Little” will run from August 1 through August 11. Interns must be available for all rehearsals and performances. For further information regarding auditions, call 973 875-2950 or log on to www.tristateactorstheater.org. Funding for this season has been made available in part by a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Dept. of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, and by a grant from The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.
