TOTOWA The Bloomingdale Regional Animal Shelter Society (BASS) will sponsor its third annual Tricky Tray and dinner on Thursday, June 12 at the Bethwood, 38 Lackawanna Ave., Totowa. Doors open at 6 p.m. A $40 ticket includes a five-course meal and one sheet of raffle tickets. Additional raffle tickets are available for purchase at the event. Several grand prizes will also be featured. All donations and money raised from this event go directly to the animals in the shelter’s care. The Bloomingdale Animal Shelter Society (BASS) is a volunteer, non-profit organization formed in 1995 to serve Bloomingdale, Butler, Pompton Lakes, Riverdale, Wanaque and Ringwood. Last year, more than 750 animals came into its care. Even though the shelter serves multiple towns in the North Jersey area, it is privately funded. BASS is committed to saving 1,000 pets in 2008. Through events like the annual tricky tray, wine tasting, held in September, and dog walk adopt-a-thon and fair, we’re able to raise adequate funds to help the animals in our shelter. To purchase tickets or donate prizes or cash, call Nancy at (973) 962-4062 or send payment of $40 per ticket and a self-addressed stamped envelope to BASS, c/o Nancy, 154 Cupsaw Ave., Ringwood, NJ 07456.
