Sparta - March 17th marks the return of the enormously popular evening of dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions to benefit Sparta’s public schools. Cabaret has been one of Sparta’s successful fundraising events. This community favorite has generated over $120,000 in charitable contributions for our public schools. This year Lucky Cabaret - so named in honor of its St. Patrick’s Day date - premieres as the signature event of the Sparta Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization formed to raise funds and encourage community and private partnerships that support educational excellence in Sparta Public Schools. As in years past, the evening will be held at the Lake Mohawk Country Club. Tickets to Lucky Cabaret are $45 and include d’oeuvres, a buffet that includes pasta and carving stations, coffee and dessert, as well as dancing to Sparta’s own beloved band, The Captains of Leisure. A silent and live auction of some truly extraordinary packages, such as vacation getaways to Tuscany, Orlando and a European River Cruise, Fighter Pilot for a Day experience including flight and dog fights, sports memorabilia including an autographed 1980 TEAM USA Hockey Gold team photograph, framed and autographed by all members of TEAM USA, golf packages to Pinehurst and Hilton Head, dining packages and event tickets, will cap off the evening. Lucky Cabaret, offers an opportunity to demonstrate support for Sparta’s schools with community members that share a commitment to educational excellence. The Foundation is still seeking sponsors for this event that range from $75 to $1000. All sponsors will be prominently displayed at Cabaret, in the event program, and in all subsequent media releases. The deadline for sponsorships is March 10th. To purchase tickets or to reserve a table call 877-472-1731 ext 3. To donate auction items or to discuss sponsorship opportunities, please call us 877-472-1731 ext 1. Lucky Cabaret is a terrific opportunity to get together with friends and neighbors while investing in the community’s valuable resources: the schools and the children who attend them. The committee is counting on the generous support or the public.
