WEST MILFORD — The West Milford Camera Club is holding its 23rd annual Photography Competition and Exhibit on Saturday Nov. 9, from 12 noon until 4 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the West Milford Presbyterian Church.
Entries may be dropped off at the church on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 7 and 8, between 7 and 9 p.m.
Since 1991, the contest and exhibition, which is open to the public, has been the highlight of the club's year.
The◦contest is open to all, but subject matter must be in good taste.
The rules
Photographs must be the work of the entrant (subject to verification).
Photographs may be either color or black and white.
Due to display restrictions, matte size shall not exceed 16" x 20" (or 320 sq. inches overall).
There is no limit on the amount of entries.
Photographs must be securely framed and wired. Only "ready-to-hang" entries will be accepted.
An entry fee of $5 for non-members and $4 for members and a completed entry form must accompany each photograph.
Checks should be payable to the West Milford Camera Club.
Previous ribbon-winning photographs may not be submitted again.
No entries will be accepted on the show date.
Judges' decisions are final.
Entries must be picked up at the conclusion of the show.
The awards
One "Best in Show" photograph will receive a cash prize of $50. Two awards of excellence will receive $25 each as well as three honorable mention and one People's Choice Award.
